concert studio chur: ROYAL DELIGHTS – a majestic pleasure

On Friday, March 21, 2025, at 8 p.m., there will be "ROYAL DELIGHTS – a majestic pleasure" with music by J.S.Bach, Franz Schubert and Bedřich Smetana in the Knights' Hall of the Episcopal Palace. The AROSA MUSIC ACADEMY, which has been in existence since 2010, has developed into an internationally highly sought-after master class platform. Every year, the ACADEMY awards the HANS SCHAUEBLE AWARD to selected participants through a jury, the winners of which are invited to concerts of chamber music at the KLASSIK FESTIVAL AROSA. The festival ensemble, led by Markus Fleck, violist of the casalQuartet, presents a truly feudal programme that not only showcases the outstanding soloistic qualities of the individual young musicians, but also their competence and joy in chamber music, which plays a central role during the String ACADEMY. Framed by the baroque splendour of J.S. Bach, the youthful fireworks of Schubert's concert piece for violin and Smetana's lavishly virtuoso last chamber music work, the Second String Quartet from 1883, resound.
