The unique format is entering its second round!

The E-Bike Festival offers everything an e-bike fan's heart desires. Test opportunities, level-appropriate e-bike tours as well as a night ride and, of course, a festival area. The base is in Chur directly at the Brambrüeschbahn, from where the region can be discovered on an e-bike.

A special highlight: On Friday, 20 June 2025, between 12.00 and 12.45 p.m., the 6th stage of the Tour de Suisse Men will start from the Stadthalle car park area in Chur to Neuhausen am Rheinfall. Together with the Bike Kingdom E-Bike Festival, the Tour de Suisse men's starting stage offers the people of Chur and the surrounding area an attractive cycling bike experience weekend.

Come by and get to know one of the most fascinating plants in the Alps - the giant hairstrand, which is also the nursery of the stem leafcutter bee. At the Parc Ela booth, we will show you how this rare bee sets up its nursery in living plant stems - and why the giant hair strand plays a leading role in this. Get your own seedling for five francs and help create habitat!

The Child and Youth Work (JuAr) cordially invites the people of Chur to the fourth summer festival in the Stadtbaumgarten - on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, there will be celebrations. At this year's summer festival, visitors can expect a colourful programme of live music, dance, creative hands-on activities and culinary delights. A day that shows how diverse and lively child and youth work is in Chur.

Children and young people from Zapperlot will play two plays. Group Zapperplapper plays the play "Mein Schatz" by Vollmerth & Eisenbarth and Gruppe Zapperlinchen "Angstmän" by H. El Kurdi, both in an adaptation of the children's and youth theater Zapperlot.

The first performances will take place on Wednesday, 21.05.2025.
If the Chur City School organises the Maiensässwanderung on this day, the performances will be cancelled and the play "Angstmän" will be played on Friday 23.05.2025 at 6.00 pm.

Both performances will take place on Saturday 24.05.2025, at 3.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m

Polenta7000 – the summer bar with stage on the polenta hill behind the Mediamarkt. Every Thursday & Friday from 5 p.m., Saturday from 3 p.m., weather permitting. With ping-pong, drinks, kiosk, food, concerts. Spontaneous information can always be found on the website.

Thursday polenta is like a glass of white wine on ice: relaxed, beautiful and a bit cheeky. No act, no stress - just you, a few friends, a round of ping-pong and the summer that strokes your hair. Today there is a little battle at the record – open to everyone, spontaneous and charming like a French film from the 70s.

Jürg Gysin, our musical director, together with his team, has put together a varied, entertaining, exciting and surprising program, which will be presented to you by the play, the aspirants, the drummers and the Los Percussionistas.

An entertaining evening awaits you, for which our young musicians prepare with a lot of dedication.

"Coffee with a Cop": The Chur City Police invites you to coffee and open dialogue

From April 2025, the Chur City Police cordially invites the population to talk directly to the police officers in a relaxed atmosphere with the "Coffee with a Cop" campaign. The aim of this initiative is to further promote and strengthen the active partnership between the population and the police.

Internationally proven format
The "Coffee with a Cop" concept was first implemented in California in 2011 and has since established itself worldwide. The Chur City Police now joins the list of cities that are adopting this successful format.

Open ear for all concerns
At nine selected neighbourhood locations, police officers from different departments are ready to listen and answer questions in person – without a fixed agenda. The informal get-together over a cup of coffee offers space for concerns, ideas and open conversations. Of course, there is also syrup and tea for the little guests. To ensure that older people can also participate in the dialogue, the Chur city police are also visiting the city's retirement homes this year.

Proximity as the key to effective police work
A close connection between the police and the population is essential for successful police work. Through direct exchange, concerns can be identified at an early stage and solutions can be worked out together. Examples from other regions, but also our own experience, show that such initiatives strengthen trust in the police and increase the sense of security of citizens. The Chur City Police is looking forward to numerous encounters, good conversations and a lively exchange.
