On this special evening, author Mirco Deflorin will read from his humorous book, which combines four bizarre stories in a chaotic universe:

- The motivational guru: A rebellious AI coffee machine and a wise, dead cactus revolutionize office life
- The Zen cat soap opera: An aristocratic cat and a soap opera addicted goldfish live pure chaos
- The Chaos Café: An opera diva coffee machine and a color-blind conductor provide musical turbulence
- The Excuses AG: An excuse database develops a life of its own and creates new realities

At the end, each visitor can choose a small surprise to match the characters of the stories. The reading will be followed by an aperitif where you can get to know the author personally. Let yourself be enchanted by this entertaining evening!

Simple and lonely - The Suites for Solo Cello by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) are a meditation, a prayer. Anyone who gets involved with them experiences the music – experiences the time. Cellist Adrian Müller plays all six suites, which as a cycle allow for their own experience. The length of the work and the unspectacular loneliness of the cello are as challenging as they are fulfilling.

Amnesty Chur is organising an action this summer where people meet for a short time and create a positive, empowering atmosphere together. Hazelboden (2004-2025), aquatint etchings and drypoint copperplate printing. The series focuses on landscape changes on the site used by Holcim AG in Untervaz between 2004 and 2025. The copper plates developed on site preserve snapshots of the landscape over a longer period of time. They thus represent the successive mining of rock by visual means. The series is part of a larger discussion by Dierauer that revolves around the ecological effects of human resource use.

Joachim Dierauer (1971, Chur), lives and works in Chur. Dierauer studied fine art in Braunschweig and dedicated his work to the art of printing. Since then, he has been actively exhibiting at home and abroad and has been awarded several prizes and scholarships. From 2005 to 2011, he was part of the open collective In Situ in Chur, which critically contributed to social debates with his work. Dierauer is currently working as technical manager of the Haldenstein printing workshop.

The Child and Youth Work (JuAr) cordially invites the people of Chur to the fourth summer festival in the Stadtbaumgarten - on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, there will be celebrations. At this year's summer festival, visitors can expect a colourful programme of live music, dance, creative hands-on activities and culinary delights. A day that shows how diverse and lively child and youth work is in Chur.

In a special concert evening, two outstanding works of sacred vocal music will meet: Johann Sebastian Bach's Motet Jesu, meine Freude impresses with its artful structure, the close connection between chorale and biblical text as well as its rich expressive content. Heinrich Schütz's Musical Exequies, written in the midst of the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War, combine personal farewell culture with liturgical form and show a deep examination of death and consolation. Both compositions reflect in their own way the baroque idea of music as a means of edification and inner movement. A concert that offers space for concentration, resonance and musical discoveries.

Peach Weber "King of Gäx"

July 24, 2022 was one of the most important days in Peach's life. There he was awarded the highest honorary title of the European entertainment scene in London: "King of Gäx". In the presence of the Queen, who was still more or less alive at the time, and Prince Charles, who was still on standby at the time, the Dean of the Royal University of Europeans Funniest People named him an honorary bearer of this title, which was awarded for only the third time after Charly Chaplin and Mister Bean. But Peach has nevertheless remained modest. He renounces a world career and continues to tour his beloved homeland, Switzerland. After countless awards, he even managed the Grand Slam of comedy: "Oltener Gurke", "Spreitenbacher Humorgarette", "Salzburger Goldhamster", now as a highlight the "King of Gäx".

Children and young people from Zapperlot will play two plays. Group Zapperplapper plays the play "Mein Schatz" by Vollmerth & Eisenbarth and Gruppe Zapperlinchen "Angstmän" by H. El Kurdi, both in an adaptation of the children's and youth theater Zapperlot.

The first performances will take place on Wednesday, 21.05.2025.
If the Chur City School organises the Maiensässwanderung on this day, the performances will be cancelled and the play "Angstmän" will be played on Friday 23.05.2025 at 6.00 pm.
