In the outside area of the Obere Au indoor pool in Chur you'll find the Aquamarine hot water wellness pool. The outdoor pool, which is heated to 31 - 33° in summer and 32 - 34° in winter, offers soothing massage tables, relaxing neck jets, an invigorating whirlpool bay, and a mysterious bubbling grotto with light and music effects. True indulgence in the open air! Particularly fun for kids is the aquarium at the grotto with its catfish, eels, clown loach and South American tilapias. Use of the Aquamarine is included in the indoor pool admission. This facility is perfectly complemented by the spa complex with saunas and infrared cabins, as well as the gym for cardio and strength training.

Here's how it works

  • Select the desired ticket with or without ChurCard and the appropriate age group
  • Buy online with credit/debit card or Twint
  • Receive ticket with QR code by e-mail
  • Exchange the QR code for a chip bracelet on site at the vending machine
  • Validate the chip bracelet at the turnstile of the corresponding system
  • Close and open the locker with the chip bracelet

Tickets are valid on the date of purchase. Purchased tickets cannot be cancelled.

Description

The Take Away, which belongs to the Obere Au outdoor pool, is located right next to the Obere Au sports restaurant. In addition to French fries, hot dogs and refreshing drinks, there is also a large selection of ice creams and sweets available. The food and drinks can be ordered and purchased in swimwear and enjoyed right next door on the large sun terrace with its shady umbrellas. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the hustle and bustle of the outdoor pool.

Description

The season on the Quader ice rink is over - we look forward to welcoming you again from 15 November 2025.

The Quader outdoor ice rink, with its romantic lighting and atmospheric music, is the winter meeting place in the heart of the city, just a two-minute walk from Chur railway station. Allow yourself to be enchanted by the fairy-tale ambience on the ice rink in front of the imposing Quader school building. A separate section is reserved for hockey enthusiasts, while the remaining area is open to people of all ages wishing to practise their ice-skating skills.

Khurer Gnusswaga
The "Khurer Gnusswaga" - Chur food stall - stands next to the Quader outdoor ice rink. The food stall offers homemade dishes for every appetite. A small heated tent next to the ice rink provides cosy warmth where you can enjoy your drink or meal. More information about the Khurer Gnusswaga 

Skating for wheelchair users
The Cerebral foundation has provided the city of Chur with a so-called "ice glider", a platform with its own blades that allows wheelchair users to access the ice. The gliders are designed to adapt to most common wheelchair models. The glider can be used free of charge. See flyer for images.

The boccia facility on the Obere Au includes not only the playing lanes but also a public club restaurant. Stop off on your walk and warm up with a cup of tea in the cosy clubhouse or enjoy a refreshing drink at the bistro tables outside. While doing so, you can watch the sporting activities on the boccia court or the artificial turf pitches or listen to the babbling Mühlbach stream. The restaurant is run by the Boccia Club Chur and offers aperitifs as well as Italian specialities such as pizza.

Summer passes and start outdoor pools
The AU DABI and WASSER summer passes are available from 1 May. The season starts at the Obere Au and Sand outdoor pools on 10 May. Further information.

Regional, healthy and fresh. A light refreshment after sport: homemade pinsa, pizokels and salads. The restaurant is located in the centre of the Obere Au sports facilities and is open daily. In summer, there is a spacious terrace with direct access to the outdoor pool. In addition, the catering offer is supplemented in summer by a takeaway with fast food and the Khurer Gnusswaga with kiosk articles.
